Transportation Ministry chips in $15,000 for Marigold Elementary

The playground equipment fund at Marigold Elementary school has received a $15,000 boost.

The contribution should bring fundraising efforts “darn close” to the goal, said Transportation Minister Todd Stone, who said it was a “good neighbour” gesture.

Last July, Stone said he “certainly wouldn’t be opposed” to helping out with equipment given parents’ concerns that the back play area abuts the $85-million McKenzie interchange project.
