SUMMARY:Second Step Training for SD 61 Educators and Counsellors
DESCRIPTION:Second Step SEL is research-based\, teacher-informed\, and classroom-tested to promote the social-emotional development\, safety\, and well-being of children. It gives students the tools to excel in and out of the classroom. Educators notice improvement in emotion management\, situational awareness and academic achievement even in the most challenging students. \nWe are offering five – half day trainings in the winter and spring of this school year. \n\nJan 31- 9:00-11:30 OR 12:45-3:00\nFeb 4 – 9:00-12:00\nMarch 4 – 9:00-12:00\nApril 14 – 9:00-12:00\n\nThe District Team can provide release time for 4 staff to attend a half day training. Some schools may already use their allotted release time for staff to attend the fall trainings. Please check with your administrator for registration details. \n  \n
