DESCRIPTION:GLUCAGON TRAINING AVAILABLE FOR SD 61 STAFF-2018-2019\nWho requires Glucagon Training? \nThe training of staff is required only if you have diabetic students with Glucagon kits. Glucagon kits are not mandatory and it is recommended that you check with parents to determine if they intend to purchase a kit. The most appropriate staff to attend the training are those who are directly responsible for the student’s diabetic needs. It is recommended that you have two staff at your school that can administer glucagon if required. \nHow often do staff need to participate in the training? \nThis training is required ANNUALLY. \nHow do I participate in the training? \nSign up for one of the  trainings no less than TWO days prior to the training date.  Click here to register for training \nIs there district release time for the training? \nThe district does not provide release time for this one hour training.

DESCRIPTION:Red Cross Respect Education invites you to a 7-hour training for PHE 10 and other interested teachers. \nPlease join us at no charge for this one-day workshop based on the ERAC-certified Healthy Youth Relationships course developed by the Canadian Red Cross. This training will help PHE 10 teachers meet the curriculum competencies for: \nDeveloping healthy relationships\nResponding to unsafe situations\nManaging conflict\nAwareness of personal boundaries\nSkills in decision-making\, communication\, and critical thinking\nAnalyzing the risks of technology and the impacts of sexual interactions online \nAs part of the workshop\, teachers will be provided with grade-level lesson plans to deliver the content to their students in a flexible\, adaptable format.
