Are you interested in using school gardens as year-round learning grounds but need help getting started? Do you need tips for caring for your garden and incorporating it into your teaching practice? Do you want to use your school garden produce or local harvest in your classroom? Would you like to meet like-minded teachers with whom to network and share ideas? If so, then join our Pro-D Day workshop where we help you make the connection between soil, kitchen and food.
During the Pro-D Day you will receive the follow free workshops:
1) Learn from Matthew Kemshaw of the Lifecycles Project Society about how to take care of the school garden and integrate it into your teaching practice and curriculum.
2) Learn from Chef Andrew Paumier about how to incorporate local food into your dish and food skills into your classroom using the Whole Kids Foundation demonstration cooking program.
